St. James' Episcopal Church Chamber Music Concert
A chamber music concert performed by the Marks brothers will be presented at St. James' Episcopal Church on August 21 at 7:30 P. M. The Marks brothers -- David, Jethro, Theo, and Vincent -- now in their twenties, along with some of their friends have received the best musical educations that America and Europe have to offer and are now performing all over the world. They have just returned to Loudoun County from a tour of Europe, Canada, and the U.S. During their school years, the Marks brothers were also known as the tennis champions of Loudoun County. The varied program includes works by Mozart, Hoffmeister, and Martinu. Wonderful music performed by some of the best young professionals around. Come and enjoy this outstanding concert in the fine accoustical surroudings and air conditioned comfort of St. James' Church. Tickets are $15 at the door and the proceeds will benefit the performers and the St. James' Organ Fund.
Church Yard Sale at Roszell Chapel United Methodist Church

Traditional Genealogical Resources at Thomas Balch Library

Mary Fishback will lead a session about learning how to use traditional research materials in the collections of Thomas Balch Library to uncover your family history. Users will be introduced to documenting and abstracting historical resources.
“A LITTLE Art Show” & Artists’ Reception
Round Hill Arts Center presents a unique exhibit: “A Little Art Show,” held at the Round Hill Arts Center Gallery through August. The show features 69 pieces from 22 artists in a variety of media - all with one thing in common: each piece is 12x12” or less. The small and affordable works include miniature oils, collage, fused glass, nature photography and more.
The exhibit runs through August 30th at the Round Hill Arts Center Gallery, open Wednesday through Friday 10 - 5 pm and Saturday 11 - 5 pm. Sterling Playmakers Presents Oaklahoma

Lucketts Community Center Summer Camps
HORSE CAMP: For ages 7-11 from 9am-5pm. The week of August 4-8 we will visit Lucia Farm 2 times. Cost is $275. The week of August 11-15 we will visit Lucia Farm 3 times. Cost is $300.
SUMMER CLAY KIDS: Will be held August 4-8 and August 11-15 for ages 7-12 from 9am-5pm. Cost is $125 per week. Spend the morning creating clay creations. Bring a bag lunch.

Bluemont announces 27th Concert Series in Leesburg
The Bluemont Concert Series announces its 2008 season of Sunday evening concerts on the lawn of the Old Loudoun County Courthouse in downtown, historic Leesburg. Bluemont is proud to make this year’s concert season part of Loudoun County’s 250th Anniversary celebration.
All are welcome to these family oriented events and are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on and a picnic to enjoy before the show. Admission is $5 per person, $4 for Bluemont Friends and seniors, $2 for kids twelve and under; proceeds go to support Bluemont’s year-round Artist-In-Education program in area schools. All concerts begin at 7:00 pm. As at all Bluemont concerts, no pets, alcohol or smoking are allowed. In bad weather, the concerts will be held indoors at Smart’s Mill Middle School.

Juried, handmade crafts, quality antiques and historic and country-life demonstrations are the centerpiece of the fair, with bluegrass bands playing in an outdoor gazebo. Two additional stages offer live music and family entertainment, all included in the admission price. Folks will enjoy down-home food like hand-churned ice cream, ribs and country ham sandwiches. There is fun for all ages with country contests like pie-eating and rooster-crowing. Younger kids flock to the farmyard petting zoo, tractor pedal pulls and pony rides in the woods.
The Lucketts Fair takes place at the Lucketts Community Center and Park, located on Route 15 eight miles north of Leesburg, Virginia. An average of 15,000 people attend the fair. Admission is $8 per person with no charge for children under six. There are discounts on advance tickets for groups of 10 or more. No pets oralcohol are permitted. Parking is free.
